The Truth Law of Attraction
The truth law of attraction, history tells us, was” first” coined by the theosophical society. The book “Isis unveiled” was written by Helen Blavatsky. Credit though must be given to Author William Walker Atkins in his book , The Law Of Attraction In The Thought World. “We speak learnedly of the Law of Gravitation, but ignore that equally wonderful manifestation. The law of attraction in the thought world. We are familiar with that wonderful manifestation of Law which draws and holds together the atoms of which matter is composed. We recognize the power of the law that attracts bodies to the earth, that holds the circling worlds in their places, but we close our eyes to the mighty law that draws to us the things we desire or fear, that makes or mars our lives.”
Any problem that may arise. All weaknesses can be overcome, bodily healing, financial independence, spiritual awakening, and prosperity beyond your wildest dreams. This is the superstructure of happiness.” – William James
Here’s the truth law of attraction
The many books written espousing the benefits of The Law of Attraction is a testament to man’s hunger for something more than the mundane reality of their lives. The Law of Attraction gives us that feeling of being in control of something ethereal, that we can achieve anything by using our mind. Whether we realize this fact or not but, our day to day living does not happenwithout the power of our mind, we cannot survive without it. To say that thoughts do not make things is denying your own divinity and power, try cooking without using your mind. It is impossible.
We do create our reality and choose our circumstances by what we think about unconsciously all the time but, we don’t need to be a victim to those circumstances. In this physical world it is hard, sometimes for us to grasp the idea that thoughts create things, because we see ourselves doing things, taking action to achieve what we want out of life. Getting up, getting ready, get to work to earn money so you can afford to live your life.
Hold on, is that the truth- law of attraction? if you haven’t read my previous article please go here. You will see that you are using the Law of Attraction on your day to day living. We just do not see it as such. We think of our action as something physical not mental. To achieve what you want requires thought and a plan, if you plan to be the best or knowledgeable at something requires you to think of your path and what you need to do to achieve your goal. What ever you choose to call it it is part of the law of attraction see below. There have been some whacky definition of what the law of attraction is but at its core, it is just a set of rules that you follow to achieve what you desire.
Like Attracts Like
The law of attraction 3 conditions are:
There is a caveat to this and that is you have to clear your mind of pre-conceived thoughts and old beliefs, they will be road blocks in your new way of thinking. Visualize in your mind what you want to achieve, believe in your abilities to achieve it and believe that you have accomplished it and do this daily until you have achieved your goal.
Maxwell Maltz from the book : Psycho Cybernetics talks about experiencing what it feels like to win or achieving something BEFORE you achieve it, The mind does not differentiate between what you experience in reality and what you imagine in your own mind. The brain will accept what it perceives as you attaining your goal. Here is the link to the article “Does your brain distinguish real from imaginary” by David R. Hamilton PhD who talks about visualizing your goal before you achieving it.
The truth law of Attraction
In its most simplistic form that “Like attracts like” consider the words, it kind of mean that whatever you like in your life you will attract into your life or another way of putting it you attract into your life what you want, if you are constantly thinking and visualizing your goals on a daily basis, would you then be surprised if you achieved it? I would think not.
When your mind is geared towards your success. Your subconscious will engineer situations that will help you achieve your dream. If you visualize you have achieved your goal, your mind will accept that fact and real. Therefore it has to manifest it into reality, it cannot fail to do it because, you could say it is the law.
Why we fail to achieve
When you want something to happen in your life, do you
1. PLEAD and BEG the universe or God to help you
2. PRAY for something good to happen to you
3. FATALISTIC about your chances of ever getting anything for yourself
4. FEEL ANGRY RESENTFUL and proceed to blame everyone and everything for the state of your life
5. FEEL EMPOWERED and proceed to achieving your goals despite the odds
Most will go through some, if not all the 5 stages. Some will be caught up in one of the 4 stages of pleading, praying, being fatalistic and feeling angry for the situation they find themselves in. Some will feel empowered. They will prove to themselves they can achieve their goals. What type of a person are you ? Where would you like to be in 3 months, 6 months, a year?
Visualize your success
Sally Gunnell who won the 1992 Olympic Gold medal in the 400m hurdles, explained that winning gold was 70% mental. After failing to win at the 1991 world championships she started practicing visualization. She did it every day, imagining sprinting, hurdling, and even having the strength to hang on in the home straight.
Visualize your success. Empower yourself, Think of youself achieving your goal. Focusing on this daily will become a habit.
“Formulate and stamp indelibly on your mind a mental picture of yourself as succeeding. Hold this picture tenaciously and never permit it to fade. Your mind will seek to develop this picture!” – Dr. Norman Vincent Peale
Life is about living, you have to contribute to reap any sort of benefits in your life. You have to be a player in the game of life. The world is replete with noble failures. Make up your mind to succeed and never let failure be an option. It does not matter how many times you fail. It is the many times you get back up, dust yourself off and continue. That will ultimately define you as a person.
Earl Nightingale sums it up : Our rewards in life will always be in exact proportion to our contribution.
