Earl Nightingale joined the United States Marine Corps at 17 years. In the following years he became an instructor at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. He was on the USS Arizona during the attack on Pearl Harbor and survived with 15 other marines. Nightingale began working in the radio industry after the war, he worked his way to become a motivational speaker.
He became inspired to be a motivational speaker after reading Napolean Hills Book ” Think and Grow Rich ” He realized that the six words he read were the answer to the question he had been looking for!
